Nancy Alcorn spent the first eight years of her career working for the state of Tennessee. Her time with the government included five years with the Department of Corrections working with the juvenile delinquent girls, and three years with the Department of Human Services working in Emergency Protective Services investigating child abuse cases and supervising foster care.
It was during this time of government work that Nancy realized the inadequacy of these programs to offer real transformation in the lives of troubled individuals. Out of this experience came a driving passion for broken young girls that led to the birth of Mercy in 1983. Today, Mercy Multiplied serves young women in locations across the nation and around the world and reaches thousands through its outreach resources and events. People have come from all over the world to study Mercy’s successful program model in faith based residential care.
An accomplished author and passionate speaker, Nancy travels extensively, sharing the mission and work of Mercy Multiplied and empowering audiences with practical principles to walk in life-long freedom. Nancy resides in Nashville, TN, the home of Mercy Multiplied’s national headquarters.
